Causes

AIDS is the late stage of an illness which is gradually damaging the immune system. This damage is caused by a virus called HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus). This virus is what is called a retrovirus, since it does is incorporate the information for replication in cell structure that directs all cellular machinery that is in the cell nucleus. Once incorporated, can live dormant for months or even years, as part of the cell. It is estimated that this latency is on average about 5 years, although there are people who "live with the virus dormant for over 10 years. The word "latent" is used to describe the virus, but is ready to begin to divide, for some reason which we do not know much, does not and remains "latent period" or window period "as if asleep. For reasons which are not known much, as mentioned above, the virus can "wake up" window period ending on and begins to divide using the machinery of growth and cell maintenance. This causes the cell to use part of their structures they need to ensure the benefit of the virus, making all the "pieces" that are then coupled give rise to several viruses called virions. virions into the blood stream to infect other cells produce small ruptures in the membrane surrounding the cells. When the number of virions that traverse and damage the membrane is very large, the cell dies because the membrane is broken in its entirety.
